Embryologist
Do you want to contribute to increased quality of life across generations – and be part of an environment where expertise, care and development come together? Then this could be the role for you.
About the role
As an embryologist at our Oslo clinic, you will be a key part of our laboratory team – contributing to fertility treatment, male fertility assessment, and the continued development of our sperm and egg bank. This is a permanent, full-time position – a rare opportunity at one of Norway's largest fertility clinics.
What we're looking for
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced embryologist who is passionate about their profession and committed to maintaining and improving success rates for our patients. The ideal candidate is someone who naturally strives for excellence and continuously seeks improvement.
At Medicus, we believe that strong collaboration and teamwork are essential to providing the highest standard of care. We are therefore looking for someone who thrives in a team-oriented environment, contributes positively to their colleagues, and shares knowledge generously to lift the team as a whole.
To be considered for the role, you should:
Have at least two years of hands-on experience in an IVF laboratory.
Demonstrate strong attention to detail and familiarity with the latest advancements in clinical embryology.
Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centered approach.
Be a true team player, who values cooperation, mutual support, and shared professional goals, across different roles and clinics.
Show a willingness to learn Norwegian – relevant language skills are considered positive (e.g. understanding Scandinavian languages).
Why join Medicus? A unique opportunity for growth
This is a unique and exciting opportunity for personal and professional development. You will work closely with a highly competent team of embryologists, both locally and across our clinics in Oslo, Trondheim, Bergen, and Stavanger.
Our clinic is equipped with advanced systems including IDEAS EMR, RI Witness, Britannia Monitoring Systems, LensHooke and Time-lapse incubators – ensuring high-quality care for our patients.
We offer all types of fertility treatments permitted by Norwegian law, and operate our own sperm and egg bank, recruiting donors internally. We are also proud participants in a variety of clinical studies.
The clinic is centrally located in Oslo at Stortingsgata 30, with excellent access to public transportation and local amenities.
